The Everlasting Day

Hello to our lovely Boomshaka fans! 

The day started out with the most delicious, customizable pancake bar made by JLJ. 

The dancers swiftly ate their breakfast for the journey to Ann Arbor Dance Classics! While the dancers worked up a sweat in the studio, the drummers practiced their spring show pieces at the Nishis’.

Once the dancers came back, and everyone had a chance to refresh themselves, Boomshaka was off to…THE PETTING ZOO AT DOMINO’S FARMS!

We encountered numerous goats, chickens, sheep, cows, alpacas, bunnies, and pigs. The highlight of the day was attempting to herd a goat, which had escaped from its enclosure, back to its friends (it did not want to go back). 

Boomshaka even faced their fears with a sassy, spitting alpaca, a nibbling goat, and a temperamental bull. 

Tired and cold, Boomshaka headed back to the Nishis’ for a relaxing nap, a sing-along, and game time. The dinner squad prepared a Nishi-potle buffet for the masses, complete with rice, beans, meat options, and many other toppings. Best burrito/taco/bowl night tour has ever seen. 

Feeling rejuvenated, Boomshaka prepared for a night out on the town at Pinball Pete’s Arcade in Ann Arbor. Boomshaka played hard and won hard, totaling over 3,500 pooled tickets and ending the night with numerous prizes with help from a friend made along the way. 

Ready to settle down for the night, we cozied up on the couch to watch a movie. With a majority vote, Boomshaka ended up watching Jordan Peele’s Us– a movie which scared a few of the members quite badly. 

Satisfied after a rich, intellectual, debrief of the movie, Boomshaka headed to bed. 

Oh, you thought you were not going to get a puzzle update? Well fear not, because today……BOOMSHAKA FINISHED THE PUZZLE! All of the hours of hard work came to fruition with the most beautiful end result and a hint for what’s to come next.
