Jalil has been a drummer since he was just 12 years old. Throughout his life he was always in an Orchestra or behind a drum set, but Boomshaka took his skills to new creative levels. It is his third year in the group and at Northwestern University. He is an Economics and Middle Eastern and North African Studies double major with a minor in Business Institutions. In his free time he likes to read the news, play basketball and volleyball, and hang out with friends. Jalil was born and raised in Orland Park, Illinois and went to high school in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
